Unique Student Identifier (USI)

A new national Unique Student Identifier (USI) is being introduced as part of the AVETMISS Release 7.0 that will come into effect in January 2015.

Support for USI in Icare

The Icare software will fully support the USI and provide the following services:

• recording the USI for each student,
• exporting student's USI as part of AVETMISS Exports,
• verification of each USI provided by students on their enrolment for,
• apply for a USI on behalf of students.

Preparing for the USI

Preparing for the USI will involve at least two broad steps:

• Set up access to the USI system, and
• Update your Enrolment Form.
