Print a Certificate
Prerequisites for printing a certificate include:
- A Certificate report, refer to Create a Certificate report; and
- A student that has sucessfully completed all required modules to achieve the relevant Certificate (as determined by the training package, industry or RTO requirements).
If both these prerequisites have been fulfilled, then a Certificate can be created following the steps below.
Step 1 - Sucessfully Completed Event
- If there is a "Sucessfully Completed" event in the events list, Jump to Step 2.
- If a "Sucessfully Completed" event is not present, then you will need to create one.
- From the Home page, search for the relevant student and open their Student page.
- Select the completed enrolment to open the Enrolment page.
- On the left hand side under Events, Click on Add Event and choose Sucessfully Completed from the menu options. This will open the Add Event page with the event type "Complete Sucessfully".
- Complete the event by recording the Completion date, trainer and any required comments.
- Save changes to record the Sucessfully Completed event.
Step 2 - Create a Certificate Event
- From the Home page, search for the relevant student and open their Student page.
- Select the successfully completed enrolment to open the Enrolment page.
- On the left hand side under Events, Click on Add Event and choose Certificate from the menu options. This will open the Add Event page with the event type "Certificate".
- Insert a Certificate Number in the relevant field and include a comment if desired. Note: Icare can be set up to automatically generate Certificate Numbers.
- Save changes to record the Certificate event.
Step 3 - Print Certificate
- From the Events list, open the Certificate event you just created.
- Under I would like to, select Print Event and choose the Certificate report (the report will be listed under the the name it was given when it was created).
- The Certificate will then be generated and opened in Microsoft Word.
- The Certificate can then be printed onto the required paper and/or saved as required using the standard Microsoft Word functions.
