Re-commence an Enrolment

A Cancelled enrolment can be re-commenced with out deleting the Cancelled event.

Adding any type of Training event (Training / Assessment / Withdrawn / Scheduled) will change the enrolment's status back to Training whilst leaving the Cancelled event in the history.

Your options appear with the way you want to treat any withdrawn / did not start units. You can treat them the same or use different approaches.

Withdrawn units

Withdrawn units can be restarted or enrolled as a second attempt.

Restarting withdrawn units (not recommended)

Adding a Training event to a withdrawn unit will restart it, but it will loose the gap in training between the cancellation and the re-commencement.

This is especially important if you are claiming through Skills Victoria. Restarting units this way will cause Skills Victoria to pay for all the months between the cancellation and re-commencement.

Re-enrolling withdrawn units (recommended)

Add a second copy of the withdrawn unit to the enrolment (Add Module Enrolment).

That module enrolment can then be optionally given proposed dates with a Training Plan Revised event and started with a Training event like normal.

Did not start units

Did not start units can either be re-enrolled or taken out of the Cancelled event.

Did not start units cannot be started by adding a Training event like for withdrawn units above. The unit will retain the cancelled date as their start date.

Re-enrolling did not start units

Add a second copy of the withdrawn unit to the enrolment (Add Module Enrolment).

That module enrolment can then be optionally given proposed dates with a Training Plan Revised event and started with a Training event like normal.

Removing the did not start

To start a did not start unit without enrolling a second attempt, the did not start history needs to be removed.

It is not recommended to delete / modify events unless you are correcting a data entry mistake, but this is one case where it can be worthwhile.

Deleting the Cancelled event is an obvious method, but that will loose the history of a Cancellation and loose any withdrawn details that you do want to keep.

Instead, you can edit the Cancelled event and delete any of the did not start units from the event, retaining the Cancelled event and any withdrawn details. This will allow you do add a Training event to the units to start them like normal. If you use proposed dates, a Training Plan Revised event can be used to give the unit new proposed dates.
